“The Daughters live a monastic life balanced with charitable works abroad. These works are not called missions rather they are called Visitations, named after that of the Blessed Virgin who, bearing the Divine Child within her, rising up went with haste to visit her cousin St Elizabeth.” — Rule of the Hermitage and the Cell
“As Mary is the Mother of our monastic life at home, so also is she the pattern of our visits abroad. We live an attentive retirement from the world for the love of Jesus combined with a vigilant readiness to rise up and leave with haste to visit, succour and assist our neighbour in his need.”
Our Apostolate is mainly to assist the Sons in their mission. In a practical sense, we assist them in the managing of the choir, catechism, cleaning and decorating, making altar bread, helping out with the young girls group, assisting in community social events, visiting the sick, young families needing assistance, and those who asks.
We also have friends and faithful who visit us in our Monastery to spend time with our Lord. Providing for them a holy space to just thinking of God and be removed from the hustle and bustles of the world. Like St Martha and St Mary Magdalene in their home at Bethany, we welcome visitors like Our Lord’s visitation to us.
